You’ve got this! Access support for your assessments

If assessments are piling up, it can be tempting to turn to quick fixes like assignment help services. Some of these are contract cheating companies, and using them can lead to serious consequences – including failing an assessment or unit, or being scammed or blackmailed.

There’s a better way – and you don’t have to do it alone. Free support is available across the University:

👩‍🏫 Your Unit Coordinator or tutor – for unit-specific help
✍️ Learning Hub – writing, maths and study support, online or in person
📚 Library resources – including referencing guides
🤝 Peer Learning Advisors – support from students who understand uni life

You can also access free, confidential and independent support through SRC Caseworker Help for undergraduates and SUPRA Postgraduate Advocacy for postgraduates.

When things feel overwhelming, reach out early. Real support is here to help you succeed.

Small cybersafe habits make a big difference

October is Cyber Security Awareness Month, and a few simple habits can make a big difference to keeping your accounts and information safe.

Three easy wins:

• Use a strong, unique passphrase – make it long, memorable and different from the passwords you use elsewhere. Check out our tips for keeping your UniKey and personal information secure.

• Turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) – and if you’re changing phones or setting up a new device, check our MFA guidance so you can keep accessing University systems.

• Keep your devices and software up to date – turn on automatic updates where you can and install them promptly. See our tips for keeping your devices up to date.

Scams and cyber threats are constantly evolving, so it’s also worth taking a few extra seconds to stop and check unexpected messages, links and requests before you act.
