We’re here to keep you safe, on and off campus
The safety and wellbeing of our community is our highest priority. Here are some tips to help you stay safe on and off campus: |
-
Download SafeZone – our free safety app connects you quickly with Protective Services and emergency teams. You can use the ‘check in’ feature to let us know when you’re studying or travelling alone or raise an alert in the event of an incident or emergency.
-
If you’re out and about when it's early in the morning or when it’s dark, try to travel with friends and walk through main pathways with good lighting. If you're on campus during these times, stick to spaces only accessible with your student ID – these are usually libraries and Learning Hubs.
-
Free campus shuttle buses operate to help you get around quickly and safely in the evenings. You can track the bus live through the SafeZone app.
-
If you’re concerned about your safety or the safety of others on campus, contact Protective Services on 1800 SYD HLP (1800 793 457). If you're outside of campus, you can call the Police Assistance Line (131 444) for non-urgent reporting, minor crime and enquiries.
- In the event of an emergency, call Triple Zero (000).
