Your exam survival guide 💪

We know this period can be challenging, but we're here to make sure you not only survive but thrive through exam season. Check out our short guide for what to do before, during and after exams:

Before the exam 🗓️

  • Check your exam timetable and venue. Don’t get caught out at the wrong lecture theatre or room!
  • Bring your physical student ID card. It’s your ticket into the exam room, and digital versions won’t be accepted.
  • Know what you can and can’t bring, like approved calculators, clear water bottles, and transparent pencil cases.
  • Arrive early so you’re not rushing and give yourself a moment to settle in.

During the exam ✍️

  • Follow the rules and listen to your supervisors.
  • Keep an eye on the clock. Manage your time and come back to tricky questions.
  • Keep your devices in your bag.
  • If you’re feeling anxious, put down your materials and breathe slowly through your nose for 30 seconds.

After the exam 🎉

  • Be proud of your effort. Finishing an exam is a win in itself.
  • Don’t overthink your answers. You’ve done your part, now shift your focus.
  • If things didn’t go to plan, support is available.
