What you need to know if you have classes or assessments on Monday 27 April 2026
The NSW Government has announced a public holiday on Monday 27 April 2026 (the Monday after Anzac Day). Here's what you need to know if you have classes and assessments scheduled for that day: |

Online assessment submissions (not requiring you to attend in person) will go ahead as planned.
- In-person assessments will be given alternative dates. Your coordinator will update you if the unit outline changes.
- Some classes may be adjusted or rescheduled within the timetable.

Your coordinator will let you know directly if anything in your unit is affected. |

| ANZAC Day Dawn Service 2026 |
You're invited to attend our ANZAC Day Dawn Service next Saturday 25 April from 5:15 am at the Quadrangle. This traditional outdoor service offers an opportunity to commemorate the ANZACs (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) and reflect on the many different meanings of war. War Memorial Carillon tours will follow at 6.30 am and 6.50 am.

April New Year celebrations 🌸 |
April marks the start of the New Year for many communities across South and Southeast Asia, with celebrations including Vaisakhi (Baisakhi), Pohela Boishakh (Bengali New Year), Puthandu (Tamil New Year), Aluth Avurudda (Sinhalese New Year), Navavarsha (Nepalese New Year), Thingyan (Burmese New Year), Songkran (Thai New Year), Choul Chnam Thmey (Cambodian/Khmer New Year) and Pii Mai (Lao New Year).
While traditions and dates vary, these festivals are commonly marked by renewal, gratitude and community, and are celebrated through family gatherings, rituals, food and cultural events. View our 2026 wall calendar to see where these dates fall across traditions.
