Notice of Election – Nominations Open for University Senate

18 March 2025

Dear students,

Please be advised that nominations are now open for the Undergraduate Student Fellow position on the University of Sydney Senate.

Notice is hereby given that an election is necessary for one undergraduate student to the University of Sydney Senate, for a term concluding on 30 November 2026, will be held from 18 March 2025. If more nominations are received than positions available, an electronic ballot will be conducted from 9 am on Monday 28 April 2025 to 4 pm on Tuesday 13 May 2025.  

  • Nominations close – Wednesday 2 April 2025, 12 pm
  • Ballot Material Issued and Commencement of Ballot – Monday 28 April 2025, 9 am
  • Close of Ballot – Tuesday 13 May 2025, 4 pm
  • Counting of Ballots – Tuesday 13 May 2025, 4:30 pm

Candidates wishing to nominate for Senate are invited to email secretariat.elections@sydney.edu.au to request a nomination form.

All interested candidates must submit a completed nomination form to secretariat.elections@sydney.edu.au before the close of nominations at 12 pm on Wednesday 2 April 2025.

Information session

An information session will be held via Zoom by the Returning Officer from 2–3 pm on Wednesday 26 March 2025 for students interested in receiving further information about the election process, the governing bodies, and responsibilities of student representatives.
