Notice of correction: last week’s Student News incorrectly stated that Academic Board endorsed a new definition of antisemitism. Rather, Academic Board noted the addition of the new definition to the resources accompanying our anti-racism statement (pdf, 157KB). Senate has approved the inclusion of this definition into the resource material alongside the University’s anti-racism statement. The University has zero tolerance for any form of bullying, harassment, or racism, and the new definition will be used by decision-makers to assess complaints of, and allegations of antisemitism. The definition was developed by the Group of Eight universities and has been endorsed by Universities Australia, and its adoption will support our efforts to ensure our campuses are safe and welcoming to all.

"To be selected for this program meant a huge deal to me, both in getting to represent Australia on a global stage but also to showcase the voices of Indigenous and rural Australians, a side of Australia which isn't often showcased." – Tyler Kennedy, Bachelor of Design (Interaction Design). |

We're in our glow-up era 🌟 |
We've heard your feedback – many of our spaces across campus are in need of some love. We're improving spaces across our campus – from refreshing bathroom facilities to restoring historical buildings and upgrading critical lab equipment. We want to ensure that you always have a comfortable and welcoming space to learn, study and socialise.
"You said the condition of our spaces, facilities, and equipment across campus have a big impact on your overall university experience. Off the back of your feedback from the Campus Experience Survey last year, we've made significant investment into restoring, refreshing and upgrading our infrastructure and physical spaces this year." – Dr Ben Wilkes, Chief Student Life Officer |
