Need to know

It's STUVAC this week, which means most students will have no classes.

We are deeply disappointed by what has reportedly occurred at the Students' Representative Council (SRC) meeting last week. Any behaviour that mocks victim-survivors or ignores the impact of trauma resulting from sexual misconduct is absolutely unacceptable. We have formally reminded the SRC of their obligation to manage their meetings with sensitivity and respect, and have initiated an immediate inquiry into the incident. The behaviour of all participants must be in accord with our Student Charter (PDF, 224 KB), which outlines our expectations of student behaviour, and other relevant university policies. The University has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of bullying, harassment, gender-based violence or discrimination, and we urge anyone affected by the incident to contact the Safer Communities Office for support.

Complete the Consent Matters module to access your results at the end of semester

We're committed to ensuring you understand sexual consent and what respectful relationships look like.  You are required to complete our Consent Matters module on Canvas in the year you commence.  If you have not yet completed the module, you will not be able to access your results at the end of semester unless you have received an exemption.

If you have any questions regarding this module please contact us by emailing consent-matters.module@sydney.edu.au
