We're here to support you, throughout semester and beyond

Your health and wellbeing is our highest priority, and we'd like to remind you that student wellbeing services are free and available to you 24/7.

To-do this week

Make sure you're prepared for the upcoming census date

Census date, which for most students is Monday 31 March, is the last date you'll be able to finalise or withdraw from any units of study, finalise your residency status, suspend your studies or discontinue your course without it affecting your grades or being financially liable for units of study.

If you need help or support, the Student Centre and our Wellbeing team are here for you.

Stick to your academic integrity responsibilities and access help if you need it

Like attending your classes and completing your assessments on time, it's your responsibility to uphold academic integrity throughout the semester. Academic integrity means taking part in your education ethically and honestly, even when things seem difficult and taking a shortcut to academic success seems easier.

Know how to spot a contract cheating service and access academic help from the University if you're feeling overwhelmed – it's free and legitimate.

Have a question about your studies? Take advantage of student support online

Chances are the answer is on our questions page. Check out trending questions, browse through our knowledge base or submit an enquiry online.

Notices

Notice of void election

Following the University’s consideration of the possible irregularities in the 2024 ballot of Undergraduate Student Fellow of Senate, the Returning Officer has declared this election void and advised that a subsequent election will be called. More information is available on the Student elections page.

An update to our exchange program at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design

The University recently decided not to renew our exchange program with Bezalel Academy as only 10 University of Sydney students have undertaken an exchange at Bezalel and none since Semester 1 2015. We undertake regular reviews of all exchange partnerships to assess their ongoing viability.

We continue to believe in the importance of international exchanges and partnerships for fostering learning and understanding, including student exchanges – and our student mobility schemes to Israel provide opportunities for our students to gain valuable insights and international perspectives into the complexities of the Middle East. Our ties with Israeli and other institutions remain in place because we are committed to academic freedom, freedom of speech, and human rights as the University's central pillars.

Happy Holi 💜

Celebrating Holi away from home, but the colours of joy and togetherness still fill the air! Students from Sydney and Macquarie University came together last week to celebrate Holi just like they would with family and friends back home. It was a day filled with endless smiles and lots of colour! ✨

Holi marks the arrival of spring and celebrates the victory of good over evil. People celebrate the festival with friends and family by eating sweets, playing with colourful powder called gulal, and dancing to traditional music.

Wishing all our students, staff, alumni and community around the world who celebrate, a Happy Holi ✨
