Dear students,
I am writing to inform you that the University is in a small number of end-of-semester examinations.
These matters are being treated as a priority and investigations are underway to identify those involved and to determine the full circumstances of each case. If you have any information relevant to this investigation, please email educational.integrity@sydney.edu.au. Anonymous reporting options are also available.
I want to assure you that we are taking all necessary steps to protect the integrity and fairness of our assessments, and the value of all degrees at the University of Sydney. At this stage, there is no evidence to suggest widespread impact across exams, and assessments have proceeded as expected. Where any impact is identified, we will ensure affected students are treated fairly and informed directly, and that your exam results reflect your hard work.
While the investigation is underway, we will continue to mark and process all exams. You should continue to attend any remaining exams and continue with your plans for your well-earned winter break. At this stage, we do not expect that we will require students to retake exams.
We are also aware of misinformation circulating online, including purported exam materials and fabricated content. You should rely only on official University communications and information provided by your unit of study coordinators.
We understand this situation may cause concern for you. Please check our website for information about the support services available if you need it.
Thank you for your continued hard work during the semester and the examination period.
Kind regards,
Adam
